Who is your idol? I would say Michelle Obama because I think she just does such great things for the world but is also so humble honest and a downright good human being. I also read her book and she is an incredible writer and has incredible things to say.

Why do you love to dance? For me, dance is something that helps me get through rough times and is like stress-reducing for me. Whenever I have had a hard day all I want to do it be with my dance family and be in the studio. It helps me express emotions without even knowing I’m expressing them.

What is your proudest accomplishment & why? My bat mitzvah because so many great things came out of it such as friendships with my Hebrew school friends and deeper ones with the people I invited, becoming closer with my culture, reading from the Torah. It was so much work but it was so worth it. Plus I got a huge party at the end.

What goals are you working on right now (in both dance & life)? Being confident in myself and going with the flow and taking more risks than I already am.

Tell us about a difficult situation in your life and how you got through it. What did you learn? This school year I went through a lot of drama with a friend group where two people I thought were my friends just suddenly became rude and hurtful. They would send me hurtful messages and curses and would talk bad about me behind my back, and say rude things at school. I ended having to go to the principles office and it made this whole year really difficult. I ended up loosing a lot of friends and feeling out of place but in the end, I learned who my true friends were and who would stand by me through thick and thin.

What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done? I think I would have to say starting a Girl Up club at my school because it took a lot of hard work and its scary to stand up for what you believe in. I learned that no matter how scary things are you should always stand up for what you believe in or for someone because you never know the effect you might have on someone else’s life.

If you’ve been to ADTC, what is your favorite dance camp memory & why? I think I would have to say the dancers and staff. Every single person is just so kind and caring everyone is always just building each other up and supporting each other as a family. When you’re in the same team as people you are just always working together and being awesome and supporting each other. Everyone is just so like-minded and believes so strongly in ADTC’s message. The staff is so supportive and helps you grow so much as dancers but more importantly as people. They are always there to support you and give you a hug when you need it. The entire time you are at ADTC you just feel so loved. Because at the end of the day we are all here to dance.

What is your A.D.T.C. Superpower? Adventurer because I’m a strong person and I inspire and love to be a risk-taker.

What do you want other girls to learn from reading your #ADTCidol bio & story? I want girls to know that it’s ok to be yourself and to be strong and confident. Because being confident in yourself is so important because you are amazing, beautiful and your allowed to own that fierce side of yourself. That standing up for yourself or what you believe in is so important. Because as women and girls we need to be kind and build each other up because you never know how your words actions o r kindness towards someone else can make their day 10x brighter. At the end of the day, we all live in this crazy world so let’s support each other in it.
