Amber holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors Degree in Dance from York University. Amber's choreographic accomplishments include hip hop, modern, contemporary and jazz pieces for You-Nique Dance Collective at the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts. She has over seven years as a competitive choreographer (specializing in hip hop) - winning overall and high score awards. Amber was a member of competitive dance teams that successfully competed in Canada and the USA. She has also performed in a number of promotional dances to launch Ralph Lauren fragrances, as a freelance dancer for independently produced shows, and as an actress in five drama productions including the Sears Drama Festival. She has also worked as an extra in television and films.
Amber has also delivered workshops within school systems as an independent artist and as part of The Traveling Stage, a company expanding appreciation of the arts in the education system. She has been Camp Director for a number of Creative Arts and Dance Technique summer programs, teaching everything from musical theatre to ballet. Amber's dedication to dance stems from her belief that dance is a powerful art form as a means of expression and for the pure joy of movement.
